Dr. Skott Ahn, LG CEO, just
introduced LG's latest Optimus One and Optimus Chic smartphones in an
interactive digital press conference held online. The Optimus One is
designed to be "your first smartphone", but it should cater for the
experienced smartphone user as well.
You've probably already read some bits about Optimus One (LG P500) and Optimus Chic
(LG E720). These are the phones that will hopefully bring LG back on
the smartphone market map. LG has already hinted of their existence and
even provided a couple of photos, but that was pretty much all.
However, as of today, we now have their full tech specs plus some new juicy images.
Both Optimus One and Chic run on the latest Android OS v2.2 Froyo
and feature 3.2-inch capacitive HVGA TFT touchscreens, 600 MHz
processors and all-round connectivity package – 3G with HSDPA, Wi-Fi,
GPS with A-GPS support and digital compass, 3.5mm audio jack and FM
radio. A 2GB microSD card is included on both retail packages.
LG Optimus One sports a 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera with
VGA@18fps recording. It’s also capable of playing DivX and Xvid videos.
