Nemesis Service Suite is the latest Nokia servicing solution.
It
supports all current hardware devices -
Nemesis Multiflasher Box,
F1
device and Prodigy LPT device.
It can also interface with Diamond for
secure execution of additional applications.
The most useful function is
probably the VUD mode (Virtual USB Device) where it can directly
communicate with any BB5 phone via USB cable.
In my personal experience with this software I have debranded 4 phones, my old N96(Vodafone UK) and my friend has two N85(Orange UK) and a 6500 classic(Orange UK).
When it came to my N96, I had upgraded my contract with Vodafone here in Scotland and I received the phone with software that Vodafone had already pre-installed onto the the phone, such as their own version of the GPS software that you had to pay more to use per month rather than the cheaper Ovi maps from Nokia. Also some restrictions were also placed on the phone such as the breathing light, as that was removed from their version of the firmware, and sliding the phone down to end the call, that was also removed from the firmware same with the Mobile Digital TV as the N96 has their own build in Digital TV tuner, This was also removed (and i liked that feature lol).
To use this software all that is needed to be done is change the product code of the phone itself, by connecting the phone to the computer via the USB cable. There are so many product codes for so many phones that its impossible for me to display them all on here but just search the internet for your code buy putting into the search bar "Nokia ******* debrand code" (replace the stars with the model of your phone) this will bring up a load of sites and forums that will have the code for your phone, all you do is write down the code for the country that you live in and use that to replace the code that is on your phone via the Nemesis software.
Once the product code has been replace, restart the phone and then use the Official Nokia update service to update the phone and it will update your phone with the latest global firmware released by Nokia that has none of the restrictions or software from your service provider.
Guide to using the Nemesis Service Suite
Connect your phone and wait for Windows to install the drivers.
Open Nemesis Service Suite and click "Scan for new device” on the
right-upper part of the window
Click on the icon "Phone info”
Click on "Scan”
Change the product code to the one you want.
Mark the case "Enable”.
Press "Write”, and your phone’s product code will be changed (you
might think that nothing happened, because the phone is still in normal
mode, and the changing of the product code only takes a couple of
seconds, but don’t worry, the product code changed !).
Close Nemesis Service Suite and run the Nokia Software Update.
Make sure not to touch the cable or the phone while your phone is
updating or else you will break it!
That’s it! When you restart your phone, it should now be upgraded!
With the N86 however its seams like the software is a hit or miss with the phone, but it is believed that a full reset of the phone does the trick. I cant confirm this as my N86 was bought directly from Nokia which is debranded with none of the service provider's software or restrictions
the stupid thing is with the software, if you already have a debranded phone and you wanted to make a Vodafone or Orange branded phone, you just put the relative product code in instead and it will brand the phone the the network provider lol
