Change the deffult name of icons in symbian s60v3
With help of this tutorial you can rename any icons in s60v3! see it:
OK, lets start.
1) Select a folder which you want to rename and press ''options'' so
that the option menu is just open:
2) Now without pressing any button or exiting the option
menu press the power button (the on/off button) and put your mobile in offline
mode:
3) The highlight cursor will select on the first icon with
the option menu still opened (Note as options has changed, with the
option of rename still present):
4) Now just select the ''rename'' option
and rename to what ever you want:
5)You can use various symbols, also
copy any symbol from text file and paste it using the copy paste function as
usual!
ok, ill add search thingy to this site and with this methid, u cant rename all icons, only some...

i did open menu again but it didnt work, i dont see any rename selection.... p.s. i now have E71, p.s.s you need a SEARCH box for this site, its quite tricky finding things u need again once u forgot :)
no, u can rename any app, including unrenamable, but use this app: http://redpepper007.ucoz.com/load/3-1-0-403 with it u can rename totally anything!!! i use it all the time!
i could only rename the folders. how did you rename your messaging icon.?
when i get to the menu part. so the menu pops out. then i leave it open, i press the power button to switch to OFFLINE MODE, the previous menu automatically opens and i can't edit the names of the apps such as messaging, gallery etc.
and with this methid, u cant rename all icons, only some...
